Looking to Enhance your Warehouse Operations?

Let me help you with a tailored solution that will "bridge the gap" between current state and reaching the next phase of success.

About

My Approach

My journey has spanned over 20 years in the industry, where I have encountered many unique warehouse scenarios and how they were operated. This includes their operations, WMS applications that are used and the culture that defined their challenges and successes.

With this "library of experience", my goal is to apply those "lessons learned" to your WMS project, whether it is an enhancement to current state operations, or a full-scale WMS implementation.

My approach is simple - learn your business, understand the challenges, and provide an "optimal & realistic" solution that is measurable, sustainable and scalable.

Project Management

My approach is to provide an independent, un-biased operations assessment to identify all areas of potential improvements. This would include interviews with key end users in all areas of operations, detailed analysis of current state standard operating procedures (SOP's) and "on the floor" visual analysis of the processes.

Key outputs of this assessment would include updated business process requirements, process flows, listing of opportunities, risk assessments and rough order of magnitudes for potential projects.

To support current and/or future operational endeavors for the warehouse, it is important to understand the current state technology landscape that will provide the baseline for future growth and automation. My approach is to analyze all key warehouse technologies to include warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning equipment, barcoding strategies, integrations to other systems, warehouse control systems (WCS) and resource management.

Another key element in this approach is to perform a "deep dive" analysis of the master data that supports all warehouse operations. This includes product master data, storage bin master data and organizational master data.

Adaptability is a key element in leading a project from start to finish. Over the years of managing WMS projects, I have been able to build a methodology - the LEAD Methodology - that provides the project governance model, accelerators (e.g. templates, best practices etc.), testing and training models and go-live preparation techniques. This includes business readiness (e.g. end user training, product and bin labeling and change management) and technology readiness (e.g. barcode and printer equipment, warehouse infrastructure and key integration points)
